Detailed GetResponse Review
This is where I began my career of email marketing and still rely and love this service to DEATH! This is perhaps the MOST IMPORTANT service (other than maybe hosting) that I currently pay for that makes me money! This service manages hundreds of daily opt-ins for me and I don't do a thing with it. I created the autoresponders once-upon-a-time, installed the code, and that is all she wrote. If I ever want to send out to my list, the Broadcast feature is as simple as writing an email.
Let me step back and show you a few things...
In your account portal lies an easy to manage directory of tasks including the daily and weekly opt-in statistics:
Add a form to your own website by simply selecting the Capture Subscribers tab and follow the step-by-step instructions on creating the code for your site.
By selecting the Manage Campaigns tab, you can easily view (and manage) all of your current autoresponder messages as well as your previous broadcasts.
With GetResponse, you can create as many Campaigns as you like (each campaign can be used for a different website, a different opt-in or auto-responder for the same website). This is included in the base price. Also included in the base price is an email database up to 10,000 clients (across all of your campaigns). If you exceed this number, there are reasonable add-on rates to continue to support your list building efforts.
Beyond the campaign settings, there are plenty of Statistic features that include:
- Open rates (What percent of people that you send an email to actually opens and reads your letter?)
- Removal rate (By law, it is required that you have an "opt-out" on any email that you send to a client. This is according to the SPAM ACT and GetResponse conforms to and will automatically manage your email marketing in accordance to this act. Therefore, you can measure the number of clients who choose to opt-out on a given email delivery)
- Click through rates (If you choose to include links within your messages, GetResponse can monitor how often these links are selected)
And of course, there is the ease of actually creating an autoresponder message or a broadcast (a message that is immediately sent or scheduled to be sent to everyone on your list). The form as simple:
- Subject
- Day Interval (Set to 0 for immediate delivery)
- Body
Plus, there are additional features for each message such as:
- Test Message (to see how it is delivered)
- Spell Check
- Spam Check (to see how the Spam filters will assess your message)
- Save a Draft (for later editing)
Of course, everything is saved on their system and their servers.
Yes, I am a big fan of this product. It has always met almost every need I have had for an autoresponder service. There are a few minor things I would prefer like the ability to integrate my own domains into the service (which can be done on a limited basis) and the recurring monthly fee is kind of a drag, but well worth it! If these two features are very important to you, you may want to check out MailLoop, but for 95% of you, a service like GetResponse (or Aweber for that matter), will do an unbelievable job for you.
