Summary: SpeedPPC started to become popular during the Arbitrage Conspiracy phenomenon, but what does this Adwords/PPC tool do (and do you really need it?). We trial it out and reveal the truth.
I was first introduced to SpeedPPC early in 2009 during the Arbitrage Conspiracy program (currently off the market). At the time, I was studying the Arbitrage Conspiracy, but I was not planning on applying the techniques. I've done PPC Arbitrage in the past, also known as Google Cash, with minimum luck and I have way too many other things going on to test these new methods.
Now one of the components to the Arbitrage Conspiracy focused around optimizing Pay-Per-Click campaigns, which included techniques like proper Ad-Group'ing, Text ad testing, analytics, and long tail keywords (among other things).
Of course, Arbitrage Conspiracy takes these methods to extremes and that is where a tool like SpeedPPC is a must for that application: Creating and segmenting multiple Ad groups with multiple ads and multiple keywords. Personally, I didn't think that I needed that..."what I currently do seems to work just fine".
Still, I owed it to myself (and you guys) to check it out.

First, what do you get when you buy SpeedPPC?
The main thing is their SpeedPPC Campaign Builder. That is the core of SpeedPPC.
The SpeedPPC Campaign builder is downloaded onto your computer and is run locally on your machine (I actually like this because I can work with this stuff offline, specifically if I am on my laptop with no internet connection available).
But what does the tool do?
The tool is very simple, but what it can do is quite complex. I see three major components of it:
1) It's ability to segment out "seed" keywords in multiple Ad Groups. Rule #1 to successful Adwords campaigns is relevancy, particularly within a specific Ad Group. To manually create separate Ad Groups in Google Adwords takes time. Here, Speed PPC does it for you. And not only that, you can create extensive keyword lists by permutating (mixing) "seed" keywords with "expansion" keywords (to my Tru-Guru clients, I call these "keyword modifiers").
For example, if I have two "seed" keywords:
shoes sandals
And two "expansion" keywords:
blue black
Then, SpeedPPC can permutate them such as:
blue shoe black shoe blue sandal black sandal or
shoe blue shoe black sandal blue sandal black
(or both!)
Maybe you even add a "misspelled" seed: sandle. No problem, it will mix that in, too.
blue shoe black shoe blue sandal black sandal blue sandle black sandle ...
And THEN, it will automatically create Three (or even 6 or more, if you choose the entire permutation as the Adgroup) Adgroups for the seeds.
At this point, choose if you want broad, phrase or exact match keywords. By the way, this process takes about 3 minutes to perform...to generate these 3 Adgroups would take about 15 minutes normally (and the more you create, the longer it takes manually!).
2) What about the Text Ads? These need to be relevant, too. And not only that, we want to create Multiple Ads and test them! Again, we can create permutations of the Title, Line 1, Line 2 and Display URL very easily:
In the example above, 16 ads are now created (by mixing and matching different lines, which will ultimately pin-point out the optimal heading and lines rather quickly). Most people don't run multiple ads (especially not 16) because it is too much work to set up (I'm guilty of this...I usually only post up to 4 ads because it takes too long). In this case, you can create dozens in a matter of minutes.
(I have to be honest, this is my favorite feature of the whole tool! This has saved me HOURS of work and has identified and created some HIGHLY optimized text ads for me).
3) The tokens. This is getting a bit more advanced (and was much of the focus of the Arbitrage Conspiracy). These SpeedPPC tokens allow you to embed the exact "seeds" and "expansion" keywords (among other things) into your Ads or even links! You cannot get more relevant than doing that!
(These tokens can be used extremely effectively in tracking, testing and analytics!!)
And one more thing I didn't mention here is that once you set up one of these "permutated" pay-per-click campaigns, they provide you with the simple export code not only to import it into Google Adwords, but other big PPC engines such as Yahoo Marketing Solutions and MSN Adcenter.
So I was sold and the amount of time this tool has already saved me has been probably about 2 days of work into about 3 hours.
(And I guarantee that these are MUCH MORE optimized than anything I could have ever created manually...even using the Google Adwords Editor...which I also love, but this tool works with the Editor, too! My Quality Scores are great! My minimum bid prices are low, too!)

There is a good Landing Page script that is moderately easy to embed into your website to actually insert searched keywords (dynamically) into your website. I've been doing this myself for years and it really DOES make a difference, not only for increasing your Quality Scores, but also increasing the conversion of your landing page. The scripts may be a little intimidating to a "newbie", though.
There are a lot of good landing page templates you can download plus some "expansion" lists that are common (such as lists of states, colors, countries, etc.).
There is a PRO version of SpeedPPC which includes more "expansion" lists and quite a powerful Affiliate Datafeed Tool. (Again, for newbies this is probably overkill, but if you have any experience integrating affiliate datafeeds into your online marketing, this datafeed tool is worth the upgrade!).
Now there is a lot of step-by-step videos on how to the SpeedPPC tools and even some bonus videos on Pay-Per-Click strategy, in general. I don't think that SpeedPPC is a substitute for PPC education, though.
And the price of SpeedPPC at $397 may seem high to some, but for the amount of time it will save you and the PPC "losses" you will save due to poor quality and high bids, makes this product quite affordable. (They even offer a 30 day money back guarantee...that is why I chose to originally try it, but I will definitely be keeping it!!)
In conclusion, I really do think that anyone wanting to tackle the PPC Space (especially Google Adwords) should be using a tool like this to save time and money. This is NOT just for "Arbitrage" users (which is what I originally thought).
You can really lose money fast in PPC if you don't know what you are doing. This tool kind of "forces" you into good practice while saving yourself a "butt-load" of time. No kidding.
