AliExpress Review Pros and Cons

If you’re interested in selling wholesale products online, AliExpress, owned by Alibaba, is a site that can help you acquire those products. The site offers a similar service to Alibaba but is ideal for smaller home based businesses who don’t want to (or who can’t) purchase big bulk orders. Products can be bought with as few as quantity one.

Whether you want to sell electronics, computers, health and beauty products, clothing, shoes, home and garden products, or something else, you can probably find a supplier who will sell it to you at wholesale pricing at AliExpress.

The fact that there is an escrow service has helped a lot of people avoid getting scammed. Scams were a big complaint for Alibaba and it appears that the parent company now offers escrow services on both sites, protecting buyers and sellers alike.

AliExpress offers a resource to help you track everything ongoing:

AliExpress forums help people share information about their experience with specific buyers so is a good place to look for resources and to gather information before choosing a wholesale company to deal with:

AliExpress also offers an iPhone application which can make it easier to manage your orders and business while on the go. This is something that’s appreciated by many home business entrepreneurs.

Dealing with wholesalers that are overseas (or anywhere for that matter) does have a degree of risk but if you find the right wholesaler to source your products from, it could work out really well. Tip: do your due diligence and start off with a very small order to ascertain whether or not you've found the right wholesaler. Take advantage of the escrow service offering as well!

Another tip:
If you're interested in larger orders, you might want to consider Alibaba. We've written an Alibaba Review as well. If you're looking at various options including local wholesalers, check out our dropship and wholesale reviews for additional choices.
