Detailed Pair Networks Review
As you begin to grow online, you find yourself needing bigger and better things. In my case, that included hosting. When I started to create NetWebVideo, there was a problem! The site had a LOT of videos which resulted in a lot of disk space as well as a lot of bandwidth. Also, I found that during my promotion and launch dates, the bandwidth spikes would be great. I needed something affordable that was reliable and could handle large amounts of traffic. I really still liked TVCNet, but their specifications where just not enough anymore.
A (Stomper) colleague of mine recommended Pair Networks to me. At first, I chose their "Advanced" package and blazed through the bandwidth rather quickly. I upgraded to a Webmaster Package and was borderline. But during all of this, the stability was phenomenal and the customer service was on top of everything.
Now I have NetWebVideo on its own dedicated server (again, through Pair Networks). As I keep expanding, Pair is able to keep up with my needs and the transfers have been rather simple.
Still, keep in mind a few things:
1) Pair Networks is GREAT for reliability and support, but it is not too user friendly. I have learned a lot about "raw hosting management". I have more control over this host more than ever before, but it does require a little bit of technical know-how.
2) For the beginner, this is probably overkill and not the best value for your initial needs.
Recommendation: Pair Networks is not the cheapest, but once you reach this point of awesome traffic (and income!), joining a hosting company like Pair Networks is investing wisely for the future of your company.
