Detailed InstantTeleseminar Review
Teleseminars - As I explained on the main teleseminar software and webinar software reviews page, a teleseminar is made up of a host, possibly a few panelists, and an audience (who are usually muted and who listen to the conversation). Now these are different than webinars in that there is no video. In fact, your clients don't even need a computer to participate in the teleseminar event (only a phone).
The point I am trying to make here with teleseminars is that they are very simple (and XIOSoft's InstantTeleseminar is about as simple as it comes!).
I personally prefer webinars, particularly since I do a lot of teaching and their is a visual aspect that my viewers enjoy. But there are inherent problems with webinars:
- Requires high speed internet connection
- Technologically more advanced
- Interface is more complex
- Some platform and plug-in issues (some viewers may not have the right version of Flash, etc., installed causing frustrations)
- Difficult to record and archive for replays
- Inherently more expensive
- Usually requires more preparation time (as a presenter)
So there is a trade-off here. Let's just say this...if you can get away with just an audio teleseminar, this is your best bet! (And realize that for most industries, audio is all that is needed! Unless you are demostrating actual keystokes on a computer, you more than likely DON'T need a webinar. This would work well for people wanting to talk about (or sell) information about real estate, health, investments, vacations, dating, relationships, money, pets, MLM's...virtually anything!
And once I show you how easy and powerful Instant Teleseminar is to use, you will agree with me that this is a great way to go.
So let's go through the process of creating a teleseminar within InstantTeleseminar. After you log-in, you will create a new event:
This form is pretty self-explanatory: Give the event a title, a date, a time, and a duration.
That is really all you need to do to set this up, no joke!
It even provides you with over 100 customizable templates of pages that you will send your clients to (and this is already done for you!) Just click the Live Event Page tab:
Everything is done for you here. Plus, if you are just mildly tech savvy, you can embed the forms directly onto your own website (branding is something that would cost a LOT of extra money to do with the current Webinar products available).
For example, I embedded my entire teleseminar into a closed member's only area of one of my membership sites as follows:
InstantTeleseminar gives you the code to embed these web features in virtually any kind of website (including blogs!).
Notice a few things about these forms.
- The call-in details, time and date are already there (You can have up to 250 callers on a single teleseminar)
- The links for the web streaming are integrated into the page (You can have up to 2000 people listening to the live webcast streaming)
- There is a Q&A box for people to submit questions in before or during the actual event!
What about the event itself?
When it comes time to host the event, simply log into your account again and choose the Moderator tools:
The bottom provides you and the other hosts the dial-in information to host the teleseminar. You can start recording the event in the top-left corner and you can view any previous and real-time (after refreshing) questions that are being posted to your event page.
In the bottom left corner, you can view the number of attendees and keep track of your time. (You can upgrade Instant Teleseminar so you can view more precise attendee details and allow for people to raise their hands for questions, too!).
And when you are done, simply stop your recording and end the event. That is it. InstantTeleseminar will automatically archive the recording and once it is rendered (usually within an hour), your event page will remove the call-in details and replace it with the replay/archive of the event automatically:
You didn't have to do anything! If you choose NOT to make the replay public, just close your event page down. You may want to save a copy of the MP3, though. The archive will remain active on their server for 30 days (plenty of time to archive it properly).
And that is it. Doing teleseminars are about as simple (and powerful) as they come! You do not need to worry about recording devices failing or setting up dial-in pages (BTW, it will usually provide your user with a local phone number, if it is available, and they even have an emergency phone number just in-case there is a phone company issue) or managing the event. It will do that for you.
So before you *think* you need a webinar, first think about all of the advantages of a basic teleseminar. And using a tool like InstantTeleseminar from XIOSoft is a slam dunk when it comes to teleseminar technology, ease of use, and price.
