I never heard of Jason Moffatt until I went to the last Frank Kern's Mass Control event.
This dude with a sombrero holding a Corona jumps up on stage and starts to drag people from the audience to join in to drink beers with him.
This got my attention. And for the next 60 minutes, there was a whirlwind of entertainment, crazy video marketing strategies I have never heard of and Ed Dale yelling from the back "Don't tell them that!".
I've never seen anything like this, personally (and I attend a lot of events). When he released his Easy Video Sales product, I bought it more out of curiosity than for the content. Can this crazy sombrero wearing surfer REALLY teach me anything about video marketing?
I did flinch at the price at first: $397. But then again, I was willing to dish out $2K for products like Mass Control, the Product Launch Formula and Stompernet. I expect more than a $50 eBook here!
Highlights:
Great, great content all over the place! His video vault stuff goes into a lot of basics about video marketing including how to create Camtasia videos (which I am well aware of), but for the beginning, these are essential. His Video Hijacker series is really what makes the product worth its while. These videos go into the strategies of using videos (both yours and others) to create income from many different points of view. Totally awesome (and I have implemented many of these same techniques into my own video marketing efforts). This series is an extension of what Jason Moffatt "WOWed" us all with at the Mass Control Conference.
The other powerful thing that Easy Video Sales offers is a LOT of other powerful content from other big name marketers (such as Frank Kern, Jeff Walker, Jason James, John Carlton, Doc Sulu and many more!). This information alone would cost you well over the $397 if you were to buy it separately. I also really enjoyed the section on Copywriting, too.
There are also a collection of tools and resources, including the Niche Browser and the Twitter Resources which are convenient (they don't "blow me away", but I do refer to them every once in awhile).
Dislikes:
One pet peeve I have with many of the big name internet marketers is the amount of "fluff" they include in their instruction. A bunch of the video vault stuff is more entertainment than content. I can accept that, but I am impatient and like getting straight to the point. (The videos are more entertaining than most you will find online, though!). The Video Hijacking videos were pretty content-oriented.
The portal is kind of basic and the aesthetic look doesn't do much for me. The information is "kind of" organized, but I did find myself going in circles as times. It is still easy to follow.
One topic that is not covered enough is the physical hardware and equipment to use for video. There is some discussion on this, but it is pretty minimal. (See Mike Stewart or Traffic Geyser if you want to learn more about the video equipment). To the credit of Jason, this program is about how to market video, not necessarily how to create it (again, he does spend a lot of time with Camtasia instruction).
Verdict:
Oh, I forgot about my favorite part of this:
The live Ustream support box that exists within the portal. Customer Service (and even the idea of doing this deserves an A+!). I've used it, too. Some times, you will even see Jason Moffatt working in the background. And being the social networker that Jason is, he incorporates some of his own social presence into an EasyVideoSales mastermind group and has been fairly receptive to emails in the past, too.
Great content, Great support. If you are doing any type of video marketing (which you SHOULD), this product will help in understanding the fundamentals of using video to make money online. (As well as show you some of his "ninja", border-line black hat, techniques to get your videos seen!)
The Skinny on Traffic Geyser Video marketing is a part of an internet marketing success. Video marketing is actually offering high rated traffic to your site on the other hand it is giving access to millions of visitors

"Hello, I just wanted to say thank you for your
website. I've got to be honest that there are so many websites out there that are completely a bunch of garbage and so far you seem to be honest in your assessments and that is a breath of fresh air for people who spend a lot of time on the net. Also, thanks for your reviews of all these different online resources, it's extremely helpful. Again, just a letter of appreciation for a seemingly honest website amidst a
whole bunch of junk." - Paul S.
