Summary: King of all dropshipping programs! This program is the simplest and most straightforward of all of the programs. All transactions are made through Doba, which results in high quality, high protection, and incredible ease to allow you to start promoting and selling products today. Prices can be a concern, but with the 7-day FREE trial, there is no reason not to check them out.
Doba is one of the very few companies that provides the service of dropshipping with an array of suppliers. Their directory consists of products from a large variety of niches and then integrates them into a single dropshipping buying portal. There is no need to contact and negotiate with a supplier. No reseller license is required. If you choose to use the datafeeds, they are all incorporated into the Doba datafeed. If you choose order products from multiple vendors, it can still be done with a single order. Doba simplifies the entire dropshipping and product sourcing process into a single user interface. Doba provides extensive training on using their system as well as effectively sourcing and selling products on the internet (both for eCommerce stores and auction websites, like eBay). You are able to trial Doba for free for 14-days by clicking here.
CONS:
The service, integration and ease of use does come at a cost. Doba is, in reality, a middleman. But these product overhead costs are exceptionally small, especially for the value and services (and time savings) it can offer you. The dropshipping prices are still rather competitive to what is currently on the market. Doba is a monthly membership website, but a fair price considering the services they provide.
User Review: In late 2007 I went on a venture to find a reliable supplier with a wide range of products for my business. After several months of research, reading all the bad and good, and testing out several companies, I came across "Doba".

Doba is a unique product in this world of product sourcing and eCommerce. It doesn't fit the stereotype to the products that are available to find suppliers online. It is a mix of both product sourcing, product fulfillment, dropshipping and education all tied together.
But there are reasons why I love Doba and other reasons why I may be cautious about what Doba has to offer. (I will cover both of these topics later on in the review).
For now, I want to discuss a bit what Doba is and how it differs from the other products out there.
In my opinion, there are a few different "types" of product sourcing tools available:
1) "True" Wholesale / Dropship List Directories - This is what Worldwide Brands is. It provides the details to the real suppliers. "No Middlemen" as I put it. Plus, there is a whole lot of eCommerce tools, education and support provided with Worldwide Brands. I love Worldwide Brands, and it should be a tool any eCommerce or auctioneer should own. Doba is different.
2) The "Big" Wholesale / Dropship List Directories - This is something like Salehoo. It is a cheap product and has a whole lot of suppliers. But there is not much differentiation between middlemen and "true" suppliers. Lots of resources, but use with caution! You may be paying inflated rates without even knowing it!
3) Broker Networks - These types of programs CLAIM to be dropshippers with huge lists of products, when in reality, they are teaching you how to use affiliate marketing to act as a dropshipper. Again, this is NOT product sourcing, this is affiliate marketing (and to pay for a service like this is kind of pointless because affiliate marketing is free). Simplx and Mahibay are examples of broker networks.
4) Then there is Doba:
Doba is kind of like a direct supplier. This is not necessarily a list, rather a dropshipping center. Here, you do not have to contact suppliers, because Doba is the supplier. When you choose to sell a product, you first search for it in the Doba portal and when someone buys the product, you make the purchase through the Doba portal (it is the customer's shipping address, but your billing address).
In the video below, I go through the buying process of Doba:
The second important aspect about Doba is the education that it provides. There are a lot of great articles, step-by-step personalized training to get you started building either an eStore or become an eBay powerseller, plus the additional resources to simplify your product sourcing efforts.
The video below provides you with a tour of the Doba education:
So this is a good point for question and answer:
1) Does Doba sell name-brands or is this just some cheap Chinese rip-offs?
Actually, most of the products ARE real name-brand products. Such product names include Apple, Cuisinar, Nautica, DKNY and many more!
2) Are these brand-new products?
In many cases, Yes! Most products are brand-new. There are some products (and even greater reductions in price) that are refurbished or surplus products, too. Each product will provide you with details on what type of product it is.
3) How do these prices compare with other suppliers?
You do pay a slightly higher price in both the membership to Doba (at $49.95/month) and some of the prices may be slightly higher than what a direct supplier may offer. Still, many of these products are only sold and supplied through Doba (i.e., there is no other supplier source).
5) Do I need a resellers license to buy from Doba?
No, you do not.
6) Does Doba provide some way of integrating their database into my existing site?
Actually, they have a GREAT datafeed system to automate much of the supply, demand, and pricing issues for you (for those of you willing to tackle the Doba datafeeds). This does come at a small additional monthly cost.
7) So who should use Doba?
That is the key question here! Personally, I don't think that Doba is your long-term product sourcing solution for a given site or product. You do pay a premium in price for the convenience of the portal and the simplicity of drop shipping products. Still, that is also a reason why I love this Doba product. It is the perfect place to test products and test markets while it also provides a great avenue to supplementing your current supplier list.
Before you start investing the time to source products directly from suppliers, getting Fictious names / resellers licenses, and committing to a market, you really should TEST the market first. Doba allows you to do this with little to no risk.
FIND OUT IF THE PRODUCT/MARKET SELLS FIRST!
That is why Doba is so powerful. If you can just break even with Doba, you will find profit with a true supplier (found through Worldwide Brands). IF you can make profit from Doba, you may want to continue using them as your supplier! (The added membership cost would be worth the price for the ease and manageability of your suppliers).
Outside of testing, Doba does offer existing, successful eCommerce and Auctioning ventures the opportunity to offer other products outside of their core supply chain. This may come in the form of surplus items as limited time offers or diversity to products outside their suppliers current stock supply.
For me, there is a golden combination of both Doba and Worldwide Brands to allow you to create low-risk physical product ventures online with high potential earnings, gains and profit! (And both offer incredible education on getting you started, too!)
