Detailed Beating Adwords Review

I have to admit that I have been a member of the Wealthy Affiliate for over 8 months now and this is the first time I have actually gone out and read Kyle and Carson's outlook on Google Adwords called Beating Adwords. I am a big Perry Marshall fan and much of my success at Adwords I owe to him, so my expectation of Beating Adwords was not too high to begin with. Still, it is one of the most popular books on the topic (and I really like the products that Kyle and Carson produce), so I chose to review it.

The book is over 100 pages and the content is rather dense. Unlike The Definite Guide to Google Adwords, this book spends a bit more time focusing on the mechanics of setting up a Google Adwords campaign. Beating Adwords is quite step-by-step and fills in many of the gaps a novice user of Adwords would likely over-look.

I did kind of find it annoying how they try to fit in other details not related to Adwords such as Market/Product Research, Affiliate Marketing, and other forms of advertising (such as article writing, forums, etc.). This is me being picky, though and the amount of this "extra" information is rather minimal. (It still waters down the product a little bit, in my opinion)

What they are teaching, though, is right on track with my own strategies and feelings towards Pay-Per-Click. The methods and step-by-step instruction follow a lot of the methods that I teach at NetWebVideo. This is not about gimmicks, either. Some important focuses include:

• Ad group
• Ad testing
• Ad creation
• Keyword research
• Landing Page (Some real good advice here!!)
• Google Slaps
• Bidding Strategy

In conclusion, I think that Beating Adwords is a great book for the novice Google Adwords user that is not only having problems with the strategies of PPC, but the mechanics on how to use the Google Adwords tool, as well. Perry Marshall's Definitive Guide to Google Adwords requires a bit more understanding on how to use Google Adwords. Beating Adwords is a good choice for the internet marketing starter that is looking for more than what simple online money making books initially offer.
