You can win people over who weren’t previously looking to make a purchase but your conversion from visitors to buyers is going to be highest if you are indexed for the words people search for when they’re ready to buy what you are selling.
What is Latent Semantic Indexing?
Latent semantic indexing, or LSI is a term used to describe words related to one another. When you’re posting content on your website, it’s a good idea to keep LSI in mind because you will be, in effect, telling search engines more about what your website is about. Search engine spiders look for more than keyword density today. LSI analysis by search engine spiders means that the site not only looks at the main keywords but relates the other words on your pages to your content as well. The more relevant those words appear to be in terms of your niche, the better the results.
So, not only will paying attention to main keywords help you with your SEO but sprinkling laterally related words in to your content as well (in a way that makes sense for your content) will help you get more targeted traffic too.
